Ascension Writers supports writers of nonfiction spiritual books. We focus on an in-depth and collaborative editing process to bring the book to its full potential, as well as ideas for pitching and marketing.

Jenny is the founder of Ascension Writers and works closely in the editing process with her clients. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Virginia, an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Texas, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Warren Wilson College. She has previously worked in editing and proofreading for literary magazines, educational publishing and children’s literature. Her interest in spiritual literature stems from her own spiritual practice of Integral Yoga and the texts of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. She writes regularly on Integral Yoga and has published poems and essays in NAMAH and Metapsychosis.

In working with clients, she strives for a collaborative and easeful relationship. Opening to the divine impulse behind the work is paramount so that it may truly manifest in the best version possible.
